The British Trombone Society offers paid membership of the Society or free membership of the website forum. Paid membership includes all the benefits of membership and forum membership, while free membership of the forum only provides access to the website forum.
The BTS magazine, The Trombonist, and website are free to members. The magazine is published quarterly. It contains articles on every facet of trombone playing - from early music to jazz and avant garde - and takes account of the needs and interests of all players right from the beginner to the advanced player in every style of music.
The Trombonist is well-supported by instrument manufacturers and music publishers and contains the latest information in these areas, plus regional and concert news, reviews and letters pages, and members can advertise "For Sale" and "Wanted" items free of charge in the magazine and on the website. Members gain free or nominal charge entry to all BTS events with the chance to meet, listen to, and learn from the greatest players and teachers, plus they also have the opportunity to meet hundreds of trombonists from home and abroad.
Annual subscriptions to the BTS can be made through PayPal (our preferred method), Standing Order through your bank (where you have to instruct your bank if your rate changes), or by cheque through the post.
